New Endlers?
When we first decided to raise Endlers we decided to raise only Orchid Endlers due to their intense colors and variety.
While Orchid Endlers continue to be our main passion we decided to broaden our inventory of Endlers to include other strains that we have an interest in.
After several requests from other hobbyist to offer other varieties of Endlers we decided to order some N Class Lime Green Endlers.
Why Lime Green Endlers?
We decided to raise Lime Green Endlers because there are few places to purchase these wonderful beauties and we love the look of these little guys!
Lime Green Endlers are extremely active just like our Orchid Endlers. They are lots of fun to watch and beautiful to look at.
Where Did Lime Green Endlers Come From?
These Lime Green N Class Endler’s Livebearers (Poecilia Wingei) were selectively bred and purchased directly from AdrianHD from pure wild stock. AdrianHD is the single individual that has developed most of the N Class strains available today.
Originally collected in 2006 from the Cumana area in Venezuela. Lime Green Endlers have a bright metallic green stripe and usually has a red sword on the bottom and often a short red sword on the top.
Lime Green Endlers usually have small black spots sometimes these black spots look similar to the Black Bar Endler. There may be several other colors present on these beautiful Endlers however the colors usually take longer to intensify in young males and the green coloration is more prominent.
Many of the males have markings that look similar to Black Bar Endlers while some of the others have less black and more of a green stripe the entire length of the fish. The majority of the Lime Green Endlers have coloration somewhere in between the two extremes.
One of the unique features of the Lime Green Endler is the white or light blue color on the dorsal fin.
These Endler’s look most beautiful in a well planted tank with good lighting. A dark background may help to show off the beautiful colors of these unique Endlers.
Evidence of N Class Status
If you plan on breeding your Endler’s and selling the offspring as N Class Endler’s it’s important that you be able to show evidence of your Endlers origins. If you have no way of showing your Endlers origins then they should be classified as P Class Endlers.
We were fortunate to get these Endlers at auction directly from Adrian Hernandez (AdrianHD). Here is a copy of our order to help show our Lime Green Endlers are N Class.
