New Strain of N Class Endler with Snakeskin Markings
We recently developed a new strain of Endler we call Snakeskin Orchid Endlers. This new Endler strain is not a hybrid but a true N Class pure Endler.
This strain was developed from a single male Orchid Endler that had extraordinary markings that we have never seen in any other Endlers. This unique male came from our documented N Class Orchid Endler stock that we originally obtained from AdrianHD and therefore we can show that it is a direct descendant of the original Orchid Endlers collected from Venezuela in 2006.
While there are many strains of Snakeskin Endlers available today, all of them up to this point, except for the strain we offer are K Class Endlers and are hybrids between Guppies and Endlers.
Some Differences Between N Class & K Class Endlers
K Class Endlers
The image above shows an Endler with snakeskin markings. This is a hybrid Endler that is a cross between a Guppy and an Endler. This beautiful hybrid is known as a Fluorescent Green Snake Endler developed by from AdrianHD.
This beautiful hybrid Endler has bright green colors that it gets from the Endler side and some beautiful markings which come from the guppy side.
One of the things that usually stand out on hybrid Endlers besides the general guppy appearance is the thicker tail section on the fish.
K class Endlers (hybrids) are often larger in size than N class Endlers.
N Class Endlers
Male N Class Endlers are generally smaller than regular guppies however they are approximately the size of feeder guppies.
Feeder guppies are sometimes mistaken for Endlers by those who are unfamiliar with N Class Endlers due to their size and sometimes similar color patterns.
One of the things that most people like about Endlers the most is the high amount of activity they can bring to an aquarium.
Male Endlers are constantly showing off to the females and as a whole Endlers are spend their time exploring every level of the tank.
While Hybrid Endlers have much of the same energy level found in N class Endlers we sometimes see subtle differences in their behavior.
One of the things we have noticed is that the male hybrids don’t seem to swim backwards as much when courting a female as the N Class Endlers do.
